Marketing is a social and managerial function connected to selling the product or a service, exchanging goods, with goal of satisfying clients needs. It includes conducting a process of involvement, identifying and satisfying client’s needs for profitability. Operational marketing involves market research, product development, product life cycle management, and as well as promotion.

Marketing includes:

• Identifying the opportunity – the real marketing begins before the product. Many think that marketing is simply selling anything that comes out of the production. But marketing's duty is to decide what's going to be produced, in the first place.
  Marketing is about perception and recognition of business opportunity. It is about market analysis, trends, products, competition and channels of distribution analysis.
• Competition analysis –Marketing's task is to decide in which way to create the defensive, sustainable competitive advantage over the market competition.
• Demand Generation– marketing task is to create and sustain demand for company's products.
• Realization – marketing’s ultimate goal is profit for business. The better the company identifies business opportunity, creates differential sustainable advantage over the competition, and generates demand for it’s products, the better will be result of doing business.
